The igfxtray.exe process is installed as part of the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver packages. While the majority of users will have this driver for Windows operating systems, Intel does make graphics drivers for Linux machines as well. These drivers are responsible for a variety of visual settings with nVidia and Intel graphics cards.
